I was diagnosed about 4 years ago and feel like I have been on most biologics. I currently take Leflunmide (MTX made me sick), Hydroxycholorquine, Almodopine, Folic Acid and I'm currently on the biologic Enbrel. I'm also taking presnidone to help try and stop my recent flare-up. I've been on Humira and Cimzia. The past 6 mos have been painful, I've had several flare-ups that significnatly impact my daily life. I was wondering if anybody else has symptoms like this and if anything has helped to reduce flare-ups. I just bought some turmeric, hoping that that might help reduce my inflammation. Has anybody tried turmeric? Thank you!

Hi, Leigh,

Perhaps it is time to try another biologic? How long have you been on the biologic you are on now? I switched to Orencia about six weeks ago ( from Humira ) and it seem sot be helping much more than Humira did. That being said, I am still taking Prednisone because of the swelling. Hoping to taper off of that in the next two months. Prednisone is the post powerful anti-inflammatory there is, so I'm not sure Tumeric would help, but you could try it. So sorry you are having so many flares. I am right there with you and trying to find the magic combo of meds. Does your RD know of your increased fatigue?

I am so sorry you are having such a time.. this is truely a hard disease and a complicated one to fine the right "fix" for. I hope that things get better and they find something that will help soon. I think we can all identify with what you are going through. When you get the right fix all goes well for awhile and then seems like it hits again. Keep you head up and keep working with your RD... hope your day and week gets better.

Hey guys i had a friend whos uncle could not walk because of his knee joints. He said that he eats a tea spoon of honey and cinnamon in the morning with breakfast and now he is walking every day. I have joint pains and will start doing this but i am not diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis yet. The thing is you have to do this every day and it has to be in the morning. I dont know if this works but i will give it a try and i just though maybe you would want to know about it. I hope it helps.
