Decided we may need a new page just for ranting and letting off steam.

I have been on 6 weeks of antibiotics! I am completely over being sick. Got some wierd chest infection and just couldn't get rid of it. I am sick of doctors and just want to be totally well again. It's left me with zero energy and feeling like someone is sitting on my chest or as if its burnt sort of, hurts to breathe- sort of sensitive.

I just feel like if its not fair, if its not RA then its something else.

I am completely OVER it. I just want to be NORMAL.

Hows everyone else going? Do things just get you down sometimes?

I've decided to treat myself, going to see "Legally Blonde" the musical next week with a girlfriend to forget my life for a couple of hours.

How is the world treating you?

No. I'm good. I think its a touch of costochondritis as all my joints are "upset". Its not a flare they're just all niggly. Little bit inflammed but no way am i going to tell my rheumy. I just don't want more prednisone.
I feel like that song. I WILL SURVIVE.
Last day of antibiotics today. Yeehaaa.
I am feeling a bit brighter too.
Going to just take it extremily easy and baby myself through this.
I'm just so bored with being ill. I'm sure that means I'm actually getting better!

Wow Legaly Blond the Musical ? that sounds good i liked the movie it would be weird as a musical wouldn't it ?

Hi Golitho,

Sorry to hear you have been sick! Not much to rant about just taking the Enbrel and MTX and having a bad flare, I hurt so much it feels like I have the flu, even my back hurts. I have one last injection of Enbrel last week and that is it..We have changed insurance companies and the new one has me paying $1000 per month for the Enbrel, and I don't have that kind of money. I exhausted the Enbrel co-pay plan where they pay up $4000, blah blah blah. So it will just be the MTX and that is it. Such is life, I guess I should be thankful I can afford the MTX, so many without any health insurance at all and no way to afford any meds.

Glad you are off the antibiotics, did you get sick because you are on a biologic? Have fun, the musical sounds fabulous!!! My daughter loved the movie!

Hey Momto wasn't there some program available from the companies to help out with the payments or is that what you've been on? So awful to think you don't get your meds through the Government like we do. I pay $5.90 permonth for my humira! The Government pays the rest or our taxes do. I wouldn't be able to afford $1000 either.
Legally Blond was great, a lovely light weight high energy musical. Good fun. Very well acted and some great dancing. My friend and I really enjoyed it.
I am over the coughing now but am stll really tired. I need a sleep most days. Feel completely exhausted. Limbs are still upset, not a flare as such but my knees ache and my elbows feel on edge. My fingers hurt too, I guess a bit like the flu. Ribs are still sore but much better than they were.
Hi Mayflower, yeah I worry about getting sick now, everytime it seems to be easier for me to crash with a cold becoming a chest infection or a sore throat a chest infection.
I was trying to change my life insurance to another company and they won't take me on which is scary, here I am at 52 not feeling the least bit ready to die. Don't you just hate insurance companies. Luckily my current company has to keep me on, I was just hoping for a lower premium. Does anyone else have trouble with getting cover? It's the mtx they all panic over.
Thanks everyone for your responses, I'm not very good at checking my computer anymore. But I just love this site you have all really helped me survive this disease. I just want you all to know how good its been to know youre there.

I'm glad you got out! sometimes just a small getting out can do you good...sounds like
the musical was fun...hope your doing better each day... I get infections easy to but,
once winter is over things get better...make sure that when your up to it that you can get the flu shot...

Hi Golitho, so happy to hear you are feeling better and that you enjoyed the musical! It is always nice to get out and about with a friend and have some fun!

Mayflower..it isn't that I don't have any insurance at all, it is that we now have what is called the high deductible plan, so we must  pay out of pocket the first $3,000 before the plan kicks in and pays for anything. The Enbrel is so expensive and under our plan it is $2100 for a box of four auto-injectors.  On the brighter side, we will meet our deductible in a matter of a couple of moths, and may still be able to use the co-pay program, it is $4,000 every six months and I think I am now on the second six months, so we will have to wait and see..at this point the rheumy called in the script, but the mail order says they are waiting for the rheumy, even though the mail order contacted regarding the Enbrel shakehead  but it looks like there will be no Enbrel injection this week. Irritating and painful.

Yes, I also hate insurance companies rolleyes We have had some doozies in the past, but this one really takes the cake!

I also love this site, so many wonderful people!
