MARBLES ALONG BONES

My mom has some tiny little balls, like marbles, under her skin, along the bones on her legs. When the pain is gone, the little balls are gone also.

When the pain gets back, here come the marbles. Her doctor tells her that it's just rheumatism (???)

Has anybody experienced anything of the kind? Please, help solve the mystery.
