I started Enbrel therapy in October and can't say whether or not it is working because I have to keep missing doses because of infections!! I haven't noticed a significant difference yet but haven't been able to be on it for more than 3-4 doses in a row due to surgeries and illness.

Big sigh....

Gonna see my Rheumatologist on the 5th and discuss. I really wanted this one to work and just hate to go to something else and wait the long road again to see if that will work. I'm on Prednisone, Plaquenil and Imuran currently for the RA along with other meds and was so hoping to get off of the Prednisone.

Just a big vent...thanks y'all ;)

Hi Gina, I hope things go well when you see your Rheumy doctor.
I have been on Enbrel for almost 3 months. It seems to help my RA.

Hi Gina, after you visit the new rheumatologist I hope everything is gonna well for you and hence the new treatment would give rise to a better recovery.

Thanks y'all :) I really like this new Rheumy and know she will give me good direction and what we should do. After almost 30 years I know about the waiting game...just tired of it ;)

I understand your frustrations.... Just know that the Enbrel helped my husband(who has ra). After about 3 months he was able to get back to alot of his regular activities. He was almost wheelchair bound. We were helping him up and down the stairs to the house. I also have ra i take cimzia for mine and I too am on plaquenil and prednisone.... which I want to get off of as well. But the Enbrel is an awful good med. Hoping that you get good results soon.

Thanks for the encouragement Peggy. I am glad it has been working for your husband. I just wish I could be on it consistently to really see how it is working. I had back fusion in October so had to be off of it for that. Then the flu-yes had the flu shot but got the other strain!! Then a tropical infection in my foot from an injury on a cruise in the Caribbean-I know poor me ;) AND now a sinus infection. Gotta get better soon cool
