It's been six weeks since being taken off of Humira and Methotrexate. So far I am feeling more tired than usual and kind of achey and my feet and spine hurt a little bit. I thought I would be using my cane at this point, but so happy I'm not yet. I have to stay off the meds till the end of December due to tb treatment. I'm writing this because maybe someone else is curious about what it's like to stop humira. I've searched the Internet to find info and have found none. I'm hoping I have at least another month before I'm in a lot of pain.

Hi Jess Welcome to HealingWell. I used to be on Humira for over
5 years I had to stop because I got tremors in my left hand. I was off Humira for a month my rheumy doctor put me on Enbrel which
is a lot better for me and no more tremors. It is really helping my RA.

I do not know what it's like to be on Humira, but I was taken off mtx (methotrexate) for 2 months now and my pain levels are up and my swelling is pretty bad, I sure hope your pain will stay away for awhile more for you, keep us posted and many well wishes and prayers on the TB treatments, I hope that helps you.

Now at seven weeks off my meds I am having more achey pain and last night...intense left shoulder pain. So searing was the pain that I couldn't even inhale more than a half breath and was minutes from calling an ambulance. Then I found two leftover percocets from a surgery I had two years ago. So I took half a pill after I had already taken 600 mg ibuprophen. A half hour later I was much better. The remaining pill and a half have to last me till Tuesday, since its a holiday weekend. I do have a couple of Tylenol 3s though. They never helped much in the past...but I do have them.

My latent TB has now become active TB and I will have to remain off of my humira and methotrexate for at least another year. Not sure how I'm going to make it.
