Good morning!
I am new to this forum. I am hoping that by sharing the symptoms I suffer might help me find the answer to: "What is wrong with me?"
However, although I am new to this forum, I am not new to all of the symptoms, I have been suffering for several years now. I constantly suffer from "Spinal Pain and Stiffness" at rest and while standing. I also suffer from various "Joint Pain", the pain seems to move from one set of joints, to other sets of joints, the joint pain and stiffness is usually symmetrical; both hips, both shoulders, both hands, etc. I may have both hips hurt for a few nights or weeks, then get relief for a few nights and then it moves to both shoulders for a few nights or weeks etc.
The past three nights, my fingers on both hands and my toes on both feet are SO swollen and stiff that it wakes me up! After I get up and move around, slowly the stiffness subsides and eventually.
Yet, last week; Bilateral hip bursa pain, a gnawing type pain that burns. I am a side sleeper, so I switch sides all night in hopes to relieve the pain, until both sides are SO irritated that switching sides doesn't help. I can not get relief from sleeping on my back or stomach due to spinal stiffness and pain.
I have a normal RF for Rheumatoid Arthritis. I do not have the gene marker for Psoriatic Arthritis either. However, I have unexplained chronic flare ups of inflammation, as well as, chronic morning stiffness. My ESR has always been normal, however, my CRP test mid 30's. My Rheumatologist was treating me for
Inflammatory Arthritis with Methotrexate and NSAD although I was not specifically DX, that is until I had a Thyroidectomy that seemed to be the culprit of my newest DX of "Random Bouts of High Blood Pressure." Now he will not treat me with NSAD due to it raises Blood Pressure. I am SO frustrated!!!
Does this sound familiar to anyone on this forum? Thank you for any ideas and/or advise anyone may have to offer. Take care; Sonflower
