RA and coughing?

Hi, I'd get with my Rheumatologist if it were me. Call and talk to the nurse and maybe they can get you in on a cancellation. That has worked for me in the past when I am in a real bad way. Let them know you are worried. I tried being stoic with this disease and it just doesn't work. Not for me at least.

I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I was 26 when I was diagnosed and I am now 44. There is alot of hope so don't lose it, I have had many pain free years using biologics as well as a few on sulfasalazine. I have had full on remission for over a year before as well with no medications.

Sometimes I think all the information we have online these days can really fuel the fire especially when newly diagnosed. I know it is better to be informed but don't jump to conclusions. MY mind is a scary place to be alone. I really try not to go there without taking someone along for the ride :)

I agree with Don, you need to get seen by your RA doctor, if you are on RA medications I do know that methotrexate can cause a cough, so try not to hit the panic button yet, but you should try and get seen to get a more accurate diagnosis for your cough and a chestt x-ray might be ordered as a precaution!
