about 2 weeks ago I was helping my husband get groceries out of his car which has a hatch back, it was raining and I was hurrying and I brought the hatch down on my head. By Saturday I was in the er. They did a ct scan and it showed most of the vertebrates sitting on top of each other. I have degenerative disc disease but never expected to hear this. Now I am having nerve pain down the side of my neck down the arms and down my back. Could this also be fibro myalgia? The reason why I am wondering is the placement of the deep nerve pain and my rheumy has given me nurotin for the nerve pain. Anyone have any ideas on this?

I don't know the answer - but I felt bad that 108 people had looked at your question and no one even so much as acknowledged you.

I don't know a lot of about Fibro but my sister has been diagnosed with it and hasn't mentioned that kind of pain - but she also hasn't been hit on the head by a car hatch either - so I would think it's possible that because of the Fibro this injury is causing a different kind of pain.

Have you made an appointment with your rheumy? I would do that if you haven't. Good luck and I hope you are feeling better.

Thanks for the reply. I went to my dr and I have multiple herniations in my back and neck. It's causing me to have severe nerve pain. I am having an MRI soon. They are making the appointment and I should know when by the end of this week.
