Injected Humira wrong

By mistake I injected my thumb with my Humira pen and now I'm not sure what to do.  Most of it I think sprayed out and didn't go in so now no injection.  Is it dangerous to inject it in my thumb because I'm pretty sure some did enter into my thumb.

I bet that was painful! I'm not sure about injecting your thumb so I would call either your doctor or pharmacist to find out.

Eeks, that sounds like it would of hurt. Not sure what to say, hopefully you got ahold of your dr or pharmacist by now. That is one of my fears is wasting a pen. I need to do my injection today and I cant even tie my shoes or open a door knob since I am so swollen and painfull. I guess I should really be teaching hubby how to do it for when I feel like this.

Hi I would call Humira and ask then to sent you a replacement pen. They
should do this for you. Always be careful with these pens.

I was wondering too about calling the manufacture today as well. When I placed my pen against my skin it was wet (sticky liquid). It was just under the fill line but obviously some had leaked. I guess I should have opened the other pen and used that one, but didn't think of that at that time.

Hi you will probably have to wait till your next dose as you don't know how much went in if you re-do it you could end up with a double dose,

But like everyone said get advice on it calling Humira is a good idea

and Ouch i'll bet that thumb is Sore
