Curley,
I know what you mean about the Depends. Who would have ever thought at our age we would be wearing those things? But, I am like you its better than having it run down your legs. I had the bad big D long before my gallbladder was taken out, and then 6 weeks later the appendix & resection was done on an emergency basis. I have gotten worse since the resection. My dr says if only we knew exactly what they did to me down there in Mexico, other than they did save my life.
I was doing some reading about the different types of knee replacements and all of them say no stair climbing for awhile after surgery. Well, that just knocked me over, my computer is upstairs. I would go nuts not having access to it. I felt too bad to see my ortho Tues. so now I have to call & get another appt. and he is not going to be happy because I missed the appt. I just felt too bad to get out of bed.
On top of all of this I was bit on my back assuming by a spider. It made a place the size of a half dollar, it burned, got hot, swelled up big time, very painful. My neighbor is a nurse and she said you could see two holes where I was stung. So, we made a paste of baking soda & water, put that on it and a big band aide to cover. It must have drawn some of the poison out, it feels some better today. Spider bites really cause a reaction out of me. So, time to get a bug man out here to treat the house.
I can say my pain pump is helping, but I have so much stiffness & pain in these knees that it really does not touch them. The joint lines on both are very tender and the knees stay swollen. My gut is trying to kick up somewhat the last couple of days. I just don't need any of this right now. I am trying so hard to get myself up moving around, maybe tomorrow.
Take care and keep me posted. Hugs & love, Susie
