I am a 56 year ld female and have had sacroiliitis for 14 years. It has gradually gotten worse over the years and now I am in a lot of pain most of the time. If I don't get out of bed and don't move, I have no pain. But I cannot do that.
I have degenerative disc disease L3-4-2-3 and S1. Also scoliosis of 24 degrees. Also arthritis in my spine. Cold and damp make it worse. Temperature changes as well.
I would like to ask you all what has helped you in terms of:
medication, shots, ablation, fusion, ifuse, heat, cold, water therapy, psych drugs, mental therapy, bio-feedback etc.
I have done everything basically except ablation of this joint and fusion. I am now investigating psych therapy to help with pain coping skills.
Please let me know what has worked for you guys. The doctors have told me my condition is non operable. It will not go away, but will get worse with time.
Struggling in Chicago.
