I AM A 46 YEAR OLD CAUCASION FEMALE, WHO WAS JUST DIAGNOSED WITH OPLL. I HAVE BEEN TOLD I NEED TO HAVE A POSTERIOR CERVICAL LAMINECTOMY. I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THIS DISEASE? I CAN'T FIND A LOT OF INFORMATION ON IT.
MY SYMPTOMS ONLY STARTED A MONTH AGO, THAT I NOTICED. I HAD A LOT OF PAIN IN MY NECK, SHOULDER AND LEFT ARM. THEN MY HAND AND FINGERS STARTED TINGLING. I HAD BEEN TO 3 DOCTORS AND THEY ALL TOLD ME IT WAS A PULLED MUSCLE. THE MUSCLE RELAXERS THEY GAVE ME DID NOT HELP AT ALL. I WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN, IT HURT TO STAND, SIT AND LAY DOWN. I FINALLY WENT TO A CHIROPRACTOR WHO INSISTED MY PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR ORDER AN MRI. THEN I WENT TO A SPINE SPECIALIST WHO REFERRED ME TO A NUEROSURGEON.
FOR PAIN, I HAVE BEEN GIVEN NEURONTIN NEURONTIN. tHE SURGEON TOLD ME IT WAS A PAINFUL SURGERY. JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS GONE THROUGH THIS?
THANKS!!!
