A little backstory: I'm 34 year old male, I've had Crohns for 5 years, only 2 serious flare ups, before that I had Ulcerative Colitis... knock on wood both were never 'chronic'... just a rare flare. The last flare up of Crohns doctor put me on 40 mg of prednisone, and I misunderstood his directions... I tapered down 10 mg's a week, and he was very upset, it should have been 2.5 mg's a week tapering.
Fast forward to know, I've been off prednisone for 5 weeks and it started 10 days ago where I wake up and I feel like I got run over by a truck. The last week or so when I try to bend my left index finger into a fist, it feels very stiff and a little pain and last few days the same w/ my right index finger. Interestingly enough, my stomach issues have all disappeared and most notably my night sweats, even during remission I had night sweats.
My mother has RA, and I guess the only real way of knowing if I have it, is to go to a doctor for tests, but wondering if anyone here can relate to my story/symptoms, thanks :)
