Hi All
I had a busy weekend and got Very Tired so I'm hoping this is just that
But Monday I was Very Flat then Tuesday all I wanted to do was sleep
I think I have hurt another disc in my back as I have been shacking again - I spill cups of tea and can't hold money without throwing it everywhere
and I seem to again be getting very emotional
but today even tho I am feeling a little better I am getting flustered very easy and nervous.
this is occurring more often and staying longer
I forget Everything -
names
shopping lists
words eg (I saw a cat but I say I saw a a um ---?- ?-- kitten)
and am so conscious of it I think I worry about worrying
my RA has been hitting new areas and isn't settling as quickly with increased prednisone
I have tried to lower the dose 3 times now but can't seem to get it down.
I was told the RA is effecting/damaging my nerves (literal Nerves & muscles) so could this be something it is doing ?

Sounds like you're having a rough time right now. I'm still learning about RA and the more I learn the more I'm confused and worried.
I hope things get better for you. Hang in there ashould best as you can.

Hey Bad,

did you say you are on an increased prednisone dose?
That can definitely be throwing you the emotional card.
When I have clumsy RA hands I throw all kinds of things unintentionally- pencils across the room etc... :) I try and laugh at it
My memory sucks- couldn't remember the movie me & my husband went too on New Years Eve tonight today- still can't remember it..
Not sure what my problem is I'm only 54 but I seem to have CRS (can't remember crap!)
I don't wish to make light of your situation- I hope you're feeling better soon

Hi Weary seems we are the same age Don't worry about making light of it , that's the only way we can deal with it all I think.
ha I just stared at this page for a minute trying to remember what I was about to write rolleyes
I have been on a reasonable high prednisone but certainly not as high as I have had before.
had some blood tests done today so that might show any inflammation etc.
I just feel like every part of me is being eaten up by this stupid RA
but hay I guess if I keep forgetting things i'll eventually forget that im annoyed at forgetting things smilewinkgrin

If we didn't laugh we'd sit down and cry all the time. I'm getting frustrated tonight with my fingers stiffening up and hurting to bend. 😠

What's really fun is trying to grip the steering wheel and only two fingers and your thumb will grab on. The rest stick out like an English tea drinker. 😕

I have a lot of those same symptoms trembles and the . The. The . Loss of that whatyamacalit thing that I can never remember. Lol. And the problem is that some doctors explain to you that RA effects everyone differently .... I don't remember the rest of the speech because they loose it at the shrug. I have been having more ankle pain at night that in the morning ... RA this is weird so I start google ing ( doctors hate this I think ) and find out that there is a percentage of us autoimmuneies that get multiple auto immune disorders. If the trembling doesn't stop maybe make appt with an neurologist just to have peace of mind.

Laughter is the best medicine- old Readers Digest column but true very true....

I have often wondered if RA doesn't cause some kind of inflammation of the brain that causes these memory problems...it seems my problems started after onset

Awe, so very sorry your having a hard time. Hope your flair goes into remission soon....I also drop things and have lower and upper back problems. .
Wish I could offer up better help, at the moment. I'm trying to get over bronchitis....
Many well wishes and hope your doing better soon, maybe try writting things down that need to be done each day...a journal of sorts..

Thanks Guys Yes I do write Everything down I have both a calendar and note pad I often forget to take lists with me if I go to shop
I think its the "lost words" that bugs me the most at moment because that is everyday speech and it seems to happen more when tired or stressed (which is most days)
sorry to hear about your bronchitis Chartreux hope it improves soon you must take care of those lungs RA can effect them badly try not to lie down flat sleep on extra pillows .
I am slowly getting over last weekends outing -not bad took a whole week .

Hi BadDay - I get the "lost words" thing too. I've been blaming it on the MTX because it seems worse on the weekends when I take it. I just tell people that my meds have stolen my vocabulary; I've found that making a joke of it makes people laugh, but with me not at me.

Sorry you've been having such a tough time BadDay..
When my head gets foggy and I can't think of words, my thyroid is usually too low and they need to up my dose. Also, when I don't sleep well or am anxious.

We get so many different symptoms, it can really get to ya, but then sometimes there is remission and good days!

So sorry ((( HUGS ))) me and prednisone never got along, I would see things that were not there,could not sleep and and had confused thoughts. I refuse it always even when they beg me to take it I just can not do it. I hope things get better for you.
