Sun Sensitivity too much to handle

I take 8 pills of MTX a week and Folic Acid and Vit D, I understand MTX can cause sun sensitivity but I can't tolerate the sun at all, not even 10 minutes. This is with spf 70 on. I can't imagine living life completely covered up head to toe. Is this considered a tolerable side affect of MTX? I drive for a living and to be totally 100 % covered is unrealistic. I need to hear from others that have experienced this and if you decided to quit MTX. Also would a smaller dose be less likely to cause this?

I can't handle the sun either with the MTX (or at least I think it's because of the MTX). AND I live at the BEACH! UGH :(

What exactly does your skin do? Mine feels like it is on fire and then I break out in a terrible fire engine red rash (and I have an olive complexion) all over my affected joints. Even the ones that are covered and not in the sun- ankles, hips, toes, knees, elbows, wrists, knuckles. My face also breaks out in the same rash, but not the rest of my body. So crazy. Just curious what your symptoms are with the sun.
