tingling in arm and hands

ok so I went to rheumy week before last. I was having a terrible time. Hurting so bad he changed my pain meds. Also put me on gabapentin ?sp.... also meloxicam to help with pain. Also.... increased my humira to every week instead of every other week. I was also having issues with my arm and hands tingling / the feeling of going to sleep. He said that I may have to have a nerve conduction test.... not what I wanted to hear. But that being said I am better with the pain but the arm / hands thing is getting worse. He said that my osteopenia may be causing some pinching of the nerves more so than the RA. My question is who has had this happen and what did you get done for it..

I just had the nerve conduction test Wednesday for the exact same symptoms.
The electro test part isn't too bad. It's like getting a strong static shock in your arms. Quick and fast.
The second part to see if it's a nerve root part is painful. :(
The neurologist sticks a thin needle in various muscles of your hand, arm, and neck. The needle picks up the electric current in the muscles. When he sticks the needle in he will have you relax the muscle, then activate the muscle by flexing it. It's the most painful part of the test.

He said I was a real trooper, because I didn't hit him. :D
I don't use foul language, but I was tempted during the test. I just did deep breathing and try to go to my happy place.

Couchtater I surely don't want to have that done. I've heard that it's really painful. Please let me know what they find on you. Hope they can get your problem fixed soon. This is definitely not fun. My arm from elbow down is numb.

They found out I have arthritis in my neck at c6-c7 vertebrae with a bulging disc and some stenosis.

I'm to be monitored for awhile to see if it gets worse. I can ask for physical therapy. I have to be careful in lifting and nothing over 10 pounds.
