I found this article on RA and it is really quite good it talks about how we feel rubbish all the time I was going to copy paste the article to here but it says you cant copy it so I have put the link to the site, I am still a relative novice when it comes to computer use but if you copy paste this link either in your top bar thing or into a search like google it will give you the site

Hope everyone is Feeling OK and survived the Holidays with all joints in tact,
it will be New Years Eve here tomorrow so that pretty much rounds up the holidays here,
We did not do anything ourselves just stayed home as it is just Hubby and me - no relatives Christmas is a quiet time for us.
So I guess everyone will be heading into the new year and I Hope you all find something to smile at and strive toward personally I am going to try to get myself a hobby to keep me "going" as this year has been a bit of a drag with Doctors or being sick so I am thinking i'd like to learn more about computers (cos I only know the basics) or ive always wanted to learn another language and there are computer sites for that so I guess I could combine the both

Happy New Year, Bad Day!

We've had a rough month since Thanksgiving. My brother and his family came for a visit and he had emergency surgery to remove a section of his small intestines that was dying. He's been recovering at our house since then, along with his wife and daughter. They are going home on Sunday if the car I fixed up for them runs well. They lost their own car.

I'm tired of company, but I love 'em.

I'm doing physical therapy for stenosis in my c6-c7 vertebrae. 😦 the therapist tries to be gentle but I hurt afterwards. Driving causes my hands to fall asleep due to it.

Hi couchtater So sorry to hear your having a tough time I guess your brother is Lucky he has you guys to help but I know how helping others while it dose feel good and you want to do it , it dose take the energy out of you so you will need to rest up once they do go home

Great idea BadDay, its really important to keep our body and minds exercising if you will. Anything having to do with computers will do that :)

I am a computer guy by trade and it has been a really good career for me considering my physical limitations. When I am learning something new with comps I try to relate it to something else I know a bit about so that it doesn't seem so abstract. In my case I use cars but really anything can do.

There are usually classes offered at the library in my area, I wonder if they are in yours as well? These are a great way to get going and learn some of the fundamentals when it comes to them. My mom did this and it helped her out a lot, she took some of them multiple times and it was all free.

Hi Don I will check our the library we have one in the next town from me, I know what you mean by relating one thing to something else I do that a lot, when I was doing my nursing studies (years ago now gosh 1980 to be exact shakehead ) I would relate names to things for instance I could not remember one term " Olfactory sense " (this is in the nose) till I said - it smells like an old factory - then no problem, I did this with a lot of terms and it helps in remembering peoples names too
