New symptom while on Mobic...help!

I've been on Mobic for two weeks now and my pain has lessened drastically. I noticed two days ago, however, that my left thumb is numb. This hasn't happened before. I'm assuming it's carpal tunnel, as I do work in an office AND a restaurant. Shouldn't the Mobic have helped prevent this from happening though? I'm not sure if I should panic or call my rheumatologist or just wait it out.......any thoughts?

Mobic is normally used to relieve inflammation and pain of Arthritis. That is great that you are feeling much better because of it.

CTS is common and Couchtater is right. Get your Rheumy to refer you to a Neurologist for testing. My Rheumy and I came to the same conclusion about my hand. The Technician and the Neurologist
did the testing, then I was referred to the Surgeon whom I just saw this week(I thought for a consult). He asked me if I wanted the surgery that day. What?? I asked if it would make my soon-to-be holiday trip unpleasant. He said, " Yes". Well, we can't cancel our holiday and plane tickets, so I'll have to have the surgery after I get back.
