humaria and predizone?

Hi All

I`m on humri and predizone and arava

doc is weaning me off of yrs of predizone

on 15mgs evry other day

my question is is anyone else on this combo

I was told predizone and humari is a bad increases risk of infection

so far humari is working great..been a couple of months

would love to get off the pred been on it on and off 4 20yrs

Hi Deb,
My first biologic was humira, and I was able to get almost completely off prednisone while on it. Go slow so you don't get flares, but hopefully you can get down a lot further on you prednisone intake.

that is my goal to get to a lower dose of predizone

been on it for a long time...

I heard you can`t ever get completely off it id on it a long time :(

I too have been on prednisone for many years. Cant seem to get completely off of it either. I am down to 1mg. a day tho.... so happy for that. I am also on humira which unfortunately has quit working on me. This is not anything new for me. I have been on several meds injections and infusions for my RA all of which after awhile quit working on me. I am scheduled to go back to my doctor Monday morning. I am assuming then we will discuss what else they can change me to. I get so tired of this. But what can you do? I hope you are able to come off of the prednisone as I understand. However I will tell you that the last few mgs. that you come off of will make you hurt like crazy. I was told that the last few was the hardest to wean off of. I have been on 1mg. for about 8 months now.

Has happened to me too.

WOW ur down to 1mg that's great!

How long before humaria stopped working for you?

I was on remicade for 5yrs then it stopped :(

Debrose I have been on humira for a year now I think. Longest med that worked for me was enbrel. I think I went a couple of years on that one I find out Monday what I will be taking next
