knee pain at static load

Hi all,
I hope to write in a good part forum.

My mother still complains about knee pain. It gets worse. And Im really angry, when I see access of doctors to the problem (because I have a long time problems with Lyme and immune, I know how hard it is, do not let go from doctors when you do not understand it)

she was on rheumatology and on neurology, but Im convinced they had done only basic tests and sent she farther without exploration of problems.

they only examined the rheumatoid factor - it was OK, uric acid was OK, minerals was OK...

she is layman - he does not know about it, I would like to help her.

where should it be ordered? what tests to ask? what to watch?

knees hurt her especially when she is in the same position - kneeling, standing.

Try to get her a second Rheumatologist to get another opinion

are her hands or knees stiff hard to move in mornings when she wakes up ?

do they swell or feel hot ?

Dose she always feel tired or want to rest alot ?

and when she gets up from sitting is the pain worse and last a long time?

these are a few questions the rheumatologist would ask her

some good tests are;

whole body bone scan - this shows inflamation

ESR or Sed Rate, Blood test

CRP - C-reactive protein ,Blood Test

The absence of rheumatoid factor does not guarantee she doesn't have RA. There is a seronegative form of RA, when the rheumatoid factor is not found.
There are many different reasons for joint pain. Before I was diagnosed with RA we made A LOT of tests. You should find an experienced rheumatologist, not just a general physician.
