methadone for pain

is anyone out there taking methadone for their chronic pain i was wondering because you hear a lot of negativity onthe drug but it is helping with severe pain. thanks debbie

Hi,I can answer your question about methadone.I was on it for a couple of month's but could not handle methadone it made me to where I could not function on it it was well at all I felt so spaced out and I did not like that feeling,so I ask to be taken off of it and iwas put on oxycodone and I have no problem's with it.But you and your doctor need to sat down and see what you'll can come up with.I wish you much luck.
