I was diagnosed with RA about a year ago and my symptoms have been fairly mild, thankfully. I’m still figuring what symptoms can and can’t be attributed to RA. During the last year, I have often noticed feeling cold when the conditions really don’t warrant it. (That is, the room or outside temperature is comfortable for everyone else, and would have been for me in the past, and I’m shivering and reaching for a sweater.). Does anyone else find this?

Yes, I have severe RA and other conditions. I've had that cold feeling for a long time, even though everyone else has felt fine. That includes when at the lake, everyone else thought the water felt warm and I'd feel cold when I went into the water. Not a nice feeling. I also have secondary Raynaud's, Anemia, Hypothyroidisn, etc which causes the same problem. I can't stand air conditioning either. A fan works fine for me during these hot summer days.

You should be tested for some of these other conditions that can cause cold sensitivity:

Anemia
Hypothyroidism
Atherosclerosis
Raynaud’s disease
Diabetes
Anorexia.
Low body weight
Poor circulation
B-12 deficiency

Thanks, I’ll bring it up at my next appointment. I do have mild Reynauds as well. I’ve had one doctor my thyroid is fine, and another say it’s low...

Yes, for sure. Some Doctors know their stuff and others, not so much. Even Specialists! Plus some
conditions share similar/same symptoms as other conditions. Don't get me going on Doctors/Patients
opinions of test results. Then there is fasting/random types of tests and different times of days. LOL!
I've had Type 1 Diabetes most of my life but I didn't feel cold until after I got RA, and RA isn't even mentioned.
Oh well, many of us differ, as they say.

This happens to me when I have a flare up. I will be freezing cold and have to go to bed with a hot water bottle even when it is sunny and hot.

Did you measure your temperature and see what it is? I get shivers when I'm at 99 or higher

I do sometimes run a little fever, I’ll see if it correlates. The low fever tends to come with RA flares?
