Hello Texikka:
I'm sorry that you are suffering and have other diseases but Welcome to HW. When were you dxd. with RA? You haven't said anything about
what your Rheumatologist said.
I do have to say that there is no chance that you will be successful in controlling RA long term, without medications. It is vital that you are placed on meds ASAP. Do you have mild, moderate or severe RA? They are all painful but severe is worse, of course. If you are recently dxd., then you may have times when your pain will go away by itself for days, weeks or months. Or you may go into remission for a longer period of time even.
There are some alternatives that may help you for a while. Such as:
*Putting your fingers and arm in warm water for 20 minutes, 3 times daily.
*Using a micro-waved warmed bean bag on your joints.
*Some patients use cold compresses instead, if the warm ones do not help.
*Splints or orthotic (straightening) devices to support and align joints, may help as well.
*Daily and easy weight bearing and stretching exercises can help.
*Ask your Doctor about
daily Omega 3 fish oil capsules.
