Hello, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis ans secondary Sjogrens 10 years ago. I am on Plaquenil and Enbrel injections weekly. Ive been having injections in my knee for years and its bone on bone and bone spur and just found out that Ive gotten Knock-need, I went to see ortho surgeon and talked about total knee replacement. I can walk good but steps are bad to do up or down. He said I may have some difficuties due to scar tissue and going down steps and stiffness and complications because my immune system. Blood clots,rejection of new knee. What i would like to know if anyone on here has had a TKR? please tell me your experiences. Now im nervous and scared to go thru with the surgury. Tia, Anette

Hi Annette, I have no experience with knee replacement surgery, just know a few people that has had theirs done. Before committing to surgery, I urge you to get a 2nd opinion with another orthopedic surgeon. Look for one that specializes in knees only, they do exist.
