Enbrel, here we come....

I just got back from a visit with my rheumatologist. He agrees that Humira should have shown some effects by now (it's been 3 months), but he also said that normally it takes about 6 months. He's switching me to Enbrel; he says that it is also a TNF-inhibitor, but it has a different process than humira and remicade. He also said there were 2 other drugs (didn't mention names, but I'm sure that Orencia was one of them) that were just approved for RA, but he wants me to try ENbrel first because it is self-injection. The other drugs are transfusion only.

I'm excited and so very hopeful that Enbrel will be the magic elixir. I'm so tired of being tired and hurting.

Good luck!
My experience with this disease is nothing is quick, except flares.
Be patient and stay positive. There seems to be a lot going on with Autoimmune Diseases like RA, if this is not your drug, something will be.

Good luck...let me know how it goes....my rhuemy still things Enbrel is the way to go for me, but I can't seem to kick my constant illnesses and infections...
