prednisone acts like a ballgown & makeup. pretty much masks everything.
what i would say is that your WBCs might shift towards more normal again. the ped adds to the suppression. honestly, if your labs are very deminished...the prednisone may or may not be to blame and it may or may not be the main player in getting your blood to near normal again. who the heck knows!
it can decrease the RF in the labs.
assessing more of the physical is what i kinda focus on the most. steroids are really intended on helping ease symptoms and get out of flares and help control inflammation....nothing really in regards to halting, slowing or realy benefitting the disease in any matter organically. (which stinks ) i mean, we're on so many biologics, and immunomodulators who knows what screws with what?!

(had 160mg then 120mg then 100, 60, 40mg and 30 now....very poofy & smushy, not much weight gain beside swelling & water. at 96 pounds but i usually hold 5 pounds of water when on pred) don't think i ever gained weight on steroids yet.
