Went to new rhuemy, misdiagnosed

Hi y'all. Im new here. Diagnosed and confirmed by 3 drs. of rhuematoid Arthritis in 12/00. On enbrel, weaning (again) off pred., methadone. Began losing approx. 20% control of my legs when walking this past weekend. Out of the blue also cant think well, no memory. I felt my old RA guy was burned out, went to new one. She said I have Fibro. and carpal tunnell!! Ive been through this before and its all crap.

I sleep like a rock and she wants to do sleep study , I guess to see why I sleep well! The fatigue I have always is pretty bad, making me quit work 12/05. $ is fine

Been reading on here some people on Enbrel are getting MS. Wonder if thats whats happening to me?

Im a young (44) single mom ,new widow with a not-helpful ****.

Hey there steelchick! Welcome to Healing Well... Hhhmmm Fibro huh? What leads this rheumy to believe you have Fibro? You may have RA and Fibro... Does she think you not have RA at all?

The sleep study is probably to find out how deep you are sleeping... Most people with fibro don't get to Stage 4 sleep, thus not as much seratonin gets released in your body... the seratonin helps to heal (or rebuild if you will) your muscles... So... if you have fibro, you don't enter Stage 4 sleep, less seratonin gets released into your body; therefore more muscle pain and fatigue... Fibro is in the muscle/tissue which the no sleep cycle that we just went through, exascerbates your condition... Some people with fibro feel like they sleep well, and are out like lights, but don't ever feel rested... (again the Stage 4 thing)....

Did your rheumy say anything about MS?

How all this started in 2000?

I mean, my "on duty" question is, what infections you have been checked for (example, lyme disease, hiv) ?

Did they make you enough extensive infections tests before puting you RA, or fibro or whatever else 'chronic'?

Probably MS or MS symptoms. No more enbrel or any other TNF blockers
