Yes of course. One of the 'official' types of arthritis is exactly the 'arthritis associated with IBD'. Sorry that it's me again answering you, but I'm pretty certain about the correct answer of your question. Hope someone else will answer too.

I'm sure there are other examinations to detect inflamation in your bowels except colonoscopy. I don't know them. If you ask on the Crohn's disease forum they know them all. Inflamation in the bowels usually have symtoms like abdomen pain, frequent diarrhea, crapms, nausea, you did not tell to have such a symptoms. I've also asked you previously about what the docs says about you having possible food intolerance, Remeber?. Did they make you any tests to rule out this issue ? Food intolerances may cause exactly loss of weight and IBD like extra-intestinal symtoms like arthritis, arthralgias, eyes problems... and etc. You got to rule out strictly this possibility because for me it looks quite likely in your case. Food intolerances can be managed very well with excluding completely the alergen substance from your diet. Celiac Disease is an example for food intolerancing disease to gluten, which is a main substance in most of the regular foods, mostly bread.

I was to infect. disease dr.  today was a crap a stupid darn idiot

i lost money and time, he didnt know about infect disease for GI telling me that for virus doesnt exist any medication etc... i have terrible candidosis from antibiotic uses for UTI infection

i can rid off i tried difulcan and  natural yogurt. probiotic im suffer i have trush in my mouth

and throat please if u have some idea to help me please. my joints are affected from this candidosis god  i need help!!!

i still believe that i have bacteria in my bowels and cant find it. tell me what i have to do where to go and what test to do .

i dont have such a disease and im not paranoic

was a simple UTI infection s agalactiae who grows in your body.

im very sensitive to antibiotics and candidosis

Jesus, Iris, relax! You sound like paranoic!!! Not that I am not such too, but at least I'm trying not to be so much and staying calmed.

It's normal to have candidosis/and frequent UTIs with antibiotics abuse. Antibiotics kills in line. They kill good and bad bacteria together and because like every evil in this world - bad bacteria are stronger then the good, and they starts to grow freely because the good one is killed and does not compete for and obstruct the bad's growing. Probiotics are good replacement of the good bacteria for the guts, some probiotic vaginal thrushes are good for the vagina. If you are still taking antibiotics I think you should reconsider with you doctor wether to continue this treatment if it obviously is not helping you. Antibiotics also doesen't kill bacteria completely they are just suppressing it in order the immune system can cope with it more easily. That behaviour makes bacteria more resistant with prolonged use of it and that resistance may potentially unlock future chronic infections anywhere on the body. Antibiotics are rarely used for more then 2 weeks and if they are prescriped for longer periods there should be a GOOD reason ..like tuberculosis, pneumonia, some spirochete caused diseases like syphilis, lyme disease and more... Antibiotics also lowers the immune system responce fighting viruses.

about your freqeunt UTIs? What the  infectious diseases doc says about them, why they cannot heal? Did he/she make any alternative suggestions? How long have you been taking antibiotics?

"he didnt know about infect disease for GI " -- if this is TRUE,  you should find another doc because there are many infectious diseases that affects the GI. I'm 100% sure about this. Most of the bowel infections are acute, but few of them may be lingering. There is affected bowel biopsy that is taken and looked under microscope and right after the dignosis of IBD could be established. Even if there is inflamation, not any bowel inflamation means IBD inflamation. The IBD bowel inflamation has speciffic clinical and histological differencies and does not have speciffic causative pathogen.

about the bug in your guts: there are lab examinations on faeces. Why don't you just put one.

Hmm.. about the viruses and and anti-viral medications: as soon as I know there are antiviral medications, but they are not as effective as antibiotics on bacteria. The most powerfull and only fighter against viruses is our immune system.

Have you noticed some strange skin rashes or eyes inflamation on you? People says that skin and eyes are mirror of the human's health condition.

Iris, I'm surprised diflucan didn't help you out. It is a strong antifungal and should clean up your fungus problems. Have you tried natural antifungals like oregano oil, olive leaf extract? As well, you might want to consider eliminating (not even a mouthful of) processed sugars, grains and yeast foods for awhile, as these keep feeding your fungus. You may never get 'well' again "if" that is the problem after all. Something to consider, I suppose... Good luck!

im so scared cos for 1 year i dont have any dx. i have migratory pain in all the joint.

here they dont admite in hospital or rheym. clinic if u dont have positive blood tests. are so dump and stupid rules. i cant pay anymore private and i consulted 3 without results. i think my bowel problems cause joint pain also UTI . im in pain every day and dont know what medication should take cos antiinfl. med.cause bowel inflamation.im normal nothing wrong with my mental health dont worry. is because so long i dont have rheumatologists and dx to treat me . is so hard !!

Iris...what is your main concern? You say you had a "simple UTI" yet you say you are suffering? How badly is it you are suffering? Are you completely disabled? Can you walk, bath, dress yourself?
If it is so that you are in tremendous fear and are suffering, sometimes it is best to be admitted as inpatient to a hospital for observation, a thorough round of blood cultures and MRIs and CTs. And even perhaps another colonoscopy. A biopsie is only as good as the person interpreting the biopsie...so what one person takes & sees, another pathologist might see different.
Personally, the inflammatory arthritis I have which directly correlates to the Crohns disease effects the vertical axis joints....mostly IBD arthritis displays symptoms in the shoulders, hands, hips, back, and knees. ANd when the Crohns flares, so does the arthritis.
I would suggest you keep a journal daily of what yo are feeling both physically and mentally. Notice what makes the joint problems worse/better....
It seems to me like you are screaming for help! :( Is it just that you want to know what is wrong and want a diagnoses? Or are you in a lot of pain and severely ill?
