Just got my x-ray back!

My x-ray said no swelling .I know I have arthriris My doctor gave me Relafen for anti-flammatory and for the pain vicodin. No sign of arthritis .but im in pain, when i ease off the medicine, dull pains going down my back, left arm goes numb. I have a question? can the x-rays miss it ? why do I have constant pain. I don't know whats going on. Please got any answers? sincerely Louise155

louise i was thinking since the pain is in your back and numbs the arm, maybe you have a pinched nerve? now i am no expert but if blood work and xrays etc show nothing could a neurologist find an issue in the spine? MRI? i really dont know but maybe if we fish well catch something? good luck and keep us posted we know your pain is real! yalinda
