Help please - Elevated Aldolase + Arthralgia and General Myalgia

  What could an elevation -  Aldolase of 12.4 (normal = 1.2-7.6) indicate?  Also my notes say I have Arthralgia and General Myalgia.  I just got my records and I knew I had a lab value elevated, but wasn't sure which one.  I also had and have a lot of leg pain / hand / finger pain and swelling and tightness, wrist pain,  as well as knee pain, hip pain and back pain.

 I didn't go to the rheumy last year when this test was elevated due to no insurance, but, it has gotten so bad that now I have to - Even though I still have no insurance.  My Creatine and Sed rate and RA factor are all WNL's.

The rheumy my primary doc wanted me to see doesn't do it if you have any back pain, so they are trying to see if rheumy will consider it with s/s and elevated labs.

Any advice - I am really having a lot of pain and fatigue and could use some advice please.

Thanks Ides. I actually saw my primary doctor today and discussed my pain issues and asked him about the elevated lab. He put me on new pain medications and I can already tell a difference thank goodness. As far as the elevated lab, because the other labs were normal, he says that it really doesn't give any definite dx; however it would be done to show muscle inflammation. He did another test today for RA that is suppose to be more accurate, so we will see. However, he is pretty sure I have fibromyalgia. Thanks for replying though; in addition the rheumy in our area will not see pts that do not have insurance, so that counts me out. So we have put that on hold for now, we will see how this lab work looks. Thanks again
