Gotta a question and thought those that are on both med's might be able to help. I've noticed these red spots that have popped up on my thighs. They look like bites, but don't itch, burn or anything else. They are just there. I'm just wondering if it's one or the other of the med's. I have no idea how long they've been there either!

I don't take both drugs, but both of them are immunosuppressants, so you're left wide open to all kinds of infections, including bacterial skin infections. If your bumps don't go away I would go see your primary Monday. If you have an infection, you don't want it to get out of control.

Could the spots be CD related? I know I get random spots ( that dont hurt) on my legs, anywhere from the ankle to the thigh area (I have CD and AS too) I know there is a medical name for them, just cant remember of hand.

my GI dude took a look at my mystery lesions monday when i went in for my remicade.
i have a few tiny red dots...those in his opinion are more of what he sees with prednsione & immunosuppressant meds.
he had no clue about my florescent green oblong sores....ewwww....they're nasty little suckers.
when i went through a period of time when i had vasculitis, i was on a lot of antiinflammatories & also developed pettechia.

if anything...these things make you all the more colorful a person. :)

Star, Are they flat? If they are, it's probably petichiae. They are common in CD and I've had them pop up occasionally for many years. Sometimes they are on my legs and sometimes in my stomach. These can sometimes be related to thrombocytopenia, a fancy word for low platelets. If you have a lot of them, it might be worth it to have your Doc take a look. We've done all the lab work for mine a few times and turned up nothing, but this is new for you. It never hurts to make sure everything is OK.
