Not sure where to post this

So I read a lot in this forum about dry eyes, but I don't know if that's what is necessarily happening with me.

I'd appreciate if anyone had any input to what I'm about to say.

The only way to describe what I'm seeing with my eyes is by doing this.

-squint with your eyes closed for about 5-10 seconds

When you open them back up, and you get this weird visual distortion, that's what I see all the time. It could be caused by sinuses, or something, I have no idea. It makes me very uncomfortable to drive as well as generally move around.

Does anyone know what it could be?

We really can't diagnose you over the internet, and anyway we aren't doctors! ;) It could be something as simple as dry eyes, but it may be something much more serious. Not even Sjogren's, but lots of other eye conditions could be contributing to your inability to focus. (Maybe you just need glasses?)

My suggestion would be to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist (medical eye doctor with medical school before eye specialization) sooner rather than later.

Not an optometrist (they just fit glasses and don't have the extensive medical degree).

Meanwhile, you might try an eye lubricant -- lubricant only, not anything medicated -- to see if it helps. My drs recommend "Tears Naturale II" and "GenTeal Gel".

(Also sugar & artificial sweeteners can contribute to dry eyes.)
