Hi I was wondering if any of you know a good eye drop that helps with eye allergies as well as lubrication. I have dry eyes and eye allergies. The drops that I use now for my allergies dry my eyes and make them hurt. Thank you.

Hi Teddtlove. I searched the Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation book and can't find an eye drop for both allergies and dry eye relief. The prescription drug Restasis reduces inflammation and dryness, but it can take from 2 to 6 months to reach peak effectiveness.

Are you seeing an ophthalmologist? I've seen you on the lupus forum, so if your taking plaquenil I'm sure you are. Ask your doc. Maybe he/she knows of a combination.

I don't feel like doing anything but sit at my computer today, so I'm going to draw up a table about eye drops and will post it later. Love, Butterflake

Your eye doctor is the best person for you to contact about eye allergy drops. There are several eye allergy drops you can get prescribed by your doctor. So start at your doctors office and never use Visine never, as visine drops can make sjogrens unbearable....many well wishes...
