Thanks Chartreux. :) I will call and see what they can do. I did call three days in and he (not my normal dr) reminded me that there are side effects, but they should go away..... At least I think that is what he said. I really don't care for him much (but then again, I have been depressed lately, and sometimes, my perception of people is altered when I am that way). Anyway, he also suggested that I eat when taking it, but that has not always worked. Actually, I just took it now and I a beginning to feel sick - it lasts about
1/2 hour (the intense nausea part) then I feel better. I do have Zofran, but I only 5 pills left, so I am trying to hold off on taking them for when I really need them (like when I am out in public). It was my GI doctor that prescribed it, but she retired in June, so I have to convince whomever that I need that and not Phenegnren (sp).
I do have biotin spray, but I did not know that it also comes in a mouthwash. I will ask them about
that. What other med besides this nasty one is out? The Dr said that it should work right away (as in the first couple days) and it seems to work (a little too well, but the excess salvation is a temp side effect) for the first hour or so, but then I feel the same as always. My regular doctor (Rheumatology - they were both in the room with me at the time) was the one who prescribed this. I think he did because he said that my skin was way too dry as well, and because it should help my dry eyes (my eye Dr is considering Restasis(sp?)). I am not sure that what he was looking at was dry skin or something else (I have tried to show it to Drs for a couple years, but they ignore it or dismiss it (even the dermatologists)), but he is the one in the office that knows Sjogren's the best, so I am sure he has seen it before.
