Hello,
I have Lupus and Sjogren's. The dryness of all mucous membranes is horrific. I'm 60 years old on eye drops ( Genteal, Restasis, Systane). I also take Plaquenil and Imuran(which I just started causing reflux).

Any suggestions ?

The eye drops you mentioned, along with Plaquenil and Imuran are a good first attack. (If the Imuran doesn't help, they may try Cellcept or MTX.)

Some members have had "eye plugs", which as I understand it plug up the drains in the eyes so that the tears that are there remain there for better lubrication. I think that requires a visit to an ophthalmologist -- not something a rheumatologist does.

For mouth dryness, they generally suggest the Biotene products - they have a toothpaste, mouthwash, and gum that help a great deal. Nose can be treated with saline spray, ears with a drop of mineral oil, and vaginal dryness has it's own set of helpful products.

I'm taking 100 MG of progesterone and it doesn't seem to help with the dry eyes. I'm taking omega3 and have tried at least 4 different eye drops. Systane is the only one that does any good for me. At least once or twice week, eyes are so painfully dry it feels like they're glued shut.

Have you tried flaxseed or fish oil supplements
