i found out that they don't make generic abilify or seroquel yet and my co pay for non generic is 25 per med. i can't afford that. so what other good meds are out there? my doc is on vacation or i would call her. i really don't want to switch because they seem to be starting to help. uggh

Seroquel and Abilify are pretty new meds. Abilify is among the newest of its class of meds. Their patent has not expired yet, and that is why they do not have generic brands yet. Most of the anti-psychotics used today are fairly new, and do not have a generic.

I can't really say what is a good med or not, for there are many of choices and what works for me may not work for you. That is a decision that you will have to make with your doctor.
