How do you take care of your own needs and save yourself from a possible burn out as with MI partner my own wellness has taken backseat and so many symptoms have started to flare up. sad

Yana, you must take care of yourself first, then the partner. Otherwise...it is that same thing they tell you on a plane with children...if the oxygen comes down...put it on yourself first...then your child. Otherwise, you could parish and all is lost for your child anyway. Or something like that.

Being there to support a loved one struggling is hard. You MUST take care of yourself or you will fall apart. The fact is, YOU must be as important to yourself...AND...take as good care of yourself as you are trying to take of them. Because if you don't...WHO WILL? You are ALL you have. Good luck...LFW

 Yana, I, too am trying to take care of my BP husband and am a point to where I don't know which way to turn.I know I have to stay strong for him and if I fall apart who will he have then.I can't give much advice but you are not alone. I feel alone so much of the time but I must press on. Hang in there. :-)
