my son has just started lamictal /new member

Hello.

I am the mother of an 11yr old boy with a lot of mood, anxiety, adhd, tourette's and possible bi-polar. He is truly a kid in the syndrome mix! The doctor has just started him on 25mg of Lamictal. Very expensive, and hope it works cause this family needs a miracle and a break! I was reading other comments on here about this drug and most were positive so we are praying. Anyway, I'm happy to find a place I can vent or maybe help others or look for help myself. Thank you

I'm not even sure if it is bi-polar although he does have many mood changes. Like rapid cycling and stays on certain topics until it drives me crazy. Depends on the day. Yesterday was a debit card (11yrs old)! before that it was hunting, cash box, savings accounts, guitar, razor scooter etc....he's even calling Walmart now and asking them questions! Oh yeah, now it's an ipod!
