Started taking Celexa last night.....

Pdoc started me on a very low dose....10mg at night. Along with the 300mg of Lithium and the 0.25 clonazepam that I also take at night, I slept like a baby. Best sleep I've had in a while. The problem is, I went to bed last night at 11:30pm and didn't wake until 11 am. Then, after dragging myself around, I fell asleep at 1:30 this afternoon  and didn't wake anymore until 4:30pm. I feel as if I'm in a fog and I bet that if I laid my head back on the chair, I'd fall asleep again. Good grief this feels terrible.  Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can avoid this or at least deal with it? I'm really hoping that this side effect goes away during treatment!! sad

Well, day 2 and I still feel miserable. I had a restless night. Waking every half hour or so. Now today, I"m in a fog again and my whole body feels so tender and exhausted. sad

It's going to take a few days for the side effects to go away. Hang in there if you can, and if you are still having these problems in a week, call the doc.

I felt like a zombie for week #1.

Extreme mania for week #2. I maxxed out all of my credit cards. o_O

If you start to feel manic, hand your credit cards over to someone to lock up for you!

Week 3 I levelled out and felt fine.

Week #4 I crashed.

Turned out I was mistakingly prescribed Celexa alone without a mood stabilizer. Once Lamictal was added, it was a wonderful drug for me.

When I feel manic, I want to clean and go outside for walks....that would be great right now!

Hopefully Lithium will help even things out and I won't end up crashing.

Well, today the fog has subsided, but now I have a rage inside of me. I have been snapping at my husband all morning. I'm very irritable and touchy.  sad

Good morning everyone!

Well, I'm feeling pretty darn good again today. I'm having a little trouble sleeping but it isn't too bad so far. I find that I start to fizzle out a little around 4 or 5 pm and usually have a short nap. I try to keep myself awake, but it just doesn't happen.  Boy, if I could keep feeling this way, I'd have very little to complain about! :-)
