zinc stops hairloss?

a family member told my mom that her neurologist told her to take zinc to prevent hairloss as a side effect from depakote.

anyone else heard this? i'm going to try it. my aunt said her hair grew back nice and thick.

yeah, apparently doctors recommend zinc and selenium to combat hair loss.

but i take 1000 mg a day. that's a lot.

Zinc is supposed to support/repair skin and rebuilt the cellulose level. I am not sure how it can help with hairloss, but you should do your research. If it is suppost to help, don't forget to bring it up with your pdoc aboiut it. Best wishes! :-)

neither helped me .... but biotin has!!! i'm losing half as much hair and my hair and nails are growing like crazy! i take 1 pill (5000 mcg) a day.

but both selenium and zinc did wonders for my immune system! i never had a single cold while i was taking them.
