Does anyone have "noise" in their head

Hi,

I don't know what is going on. I am not hallucinating I just hear songs sometimes(repeting), then in the morning especially I just have all this what I call "noise". Just racing thoughts. I have been in a depression for 6 weeks following 4 months of constant mania. I don't get it. I was numb the past few weeks and now am so Angry I don't know what to do. Just angry and irritated. I lost 6 months of this year so far. Am taking Effexor and Lamictal.

I am just so sick of this. Anyone have this?

I think lots of people have had these symptoms before. They are either hypomania or your onset of mania. Give your doc a call asap. I'm sorry you're suffering. But if you catch it before it gets too bad, it doesn't have to be a terrible episode.

i have that all the time. i call it busy busy brain. just random bits of thoughts, conversations and music. the med i take, Zyprexa, is helping with that a bit. sometimes i just have to think "stop" so that the thoughts would stop. you are not alone. if you think the thoughts are getting out of hand, do call your doc as serafena said, as you might need a dosage increase or try a different med to control your sxs. This is my primay symptom and it takes a lot of effort to just shut my brain up. it consumes most of my day, i constantly have to distract myself by reading. even watching tv won't stop it.

i also have that all the time. i call it squares in my head. always busy running around. i try to stop by talking and doing things with people to get out of myself. i wake with a song in my head like i just heard it. it's so interesting that it happens to other people. it's nice to know we are not alone. i can't calm down enough to read and slow my self down. i am always feeling overwellmed. anoxious and it becomes very tierering. thanks fast 1

yes I have had  songs playing in my mind but ones I heard during the day. So I turned off the music during the day and now now songs play in my mind when I am trying to go to sleep-- I have Bipolar 1..

Oh THANK YOU guys so much! I was wondering if I was alone in this and was going crazy. I also can distract this by reading interestingly. I am finally feeling almost human again after 2 months almost of constant depression and crying. That was after 4 months of mania. I know the meds need changing, and we are working on that.

I woke up every single morning for three month with Queen's "Bohemian Rapsody" playing full blast in my head!  That is enough to send you over the edge.  Seroquel did calm that down, but had bad side effects and had to stop it.  I just recently started taking Risperdal and my mind is a little quieter when I wake up, next week when dosage increase time rolls around, we will see if it stops.  That would be wonderful.  smilewinkgrin I agress that your meds need twicking. Please do not give up, keep trying every combination known to man until you hit on the right mix.  It can happen for you, I have faith it will.

My god, Im glad you guys mentioned this! I get lottsa tinitus (ringing in my ears!) as well as all these swimming, inter-mingling thoughts, conversation and songs...right now scooby doo just popped in there!!! Guns N Roses get in there quite alot...which is quite cool as I like them...its like having my own personal juke box! LOL! However, I dont always get to choose my favourite track! LOL :-)

Youre right tho, it is god darn hard at times! The randomness or constant nature sometimes makes my head dizzy like ive got some kind of viral infection of the nervous system that makes me unsteady!

i have music too... in the morning when i have my cigarette there'll be a tune in there. and here's the catch, i don't listen to music before i go to bed or when i wake up. its just there. i read a lot of stuff online to shut it up, other times i just want to talk so that i don't here it. i wonder what this symptom is really called! ill be printing this post to show my mom... "Mom, other people have it too!"
