Maybe, he meant to write "Hypothyroid". That's quite common with depression as sarafena mentioned. If one's thyroid is lumpy, bumpy and doesn't manage your metabolism, all sorts of nasty's appear. Slowed thinking, dry waxy skin, inability to lose weight, extreme exhaustion and so on. All the women on my mother's side of the family have hypothyroid and Bipolar II (mainly depression with a little irritability thrown in). That's precisely where I'm at. After the positive Thyroid Stimulating Hormone blood test, my doctor asked me if I was standing up. I replied yes, doing laundry, she said Ï don't know how you're standing up your TSH is off the chart, your hemaeglobin is the lowest I've ever seen (like 5, when it should be 14 -16). You better come in. Whilst I was in there we talked about
the Bipolar II which had been diagnosed four years earlier while seeing a psychiatrist to try and save me marriage. Hubby just went in, sat down, told the pdoc all the horrible things I'd said and done and said he wouldn't be coming back because he'd moved on cause "there's nothing wrong with me, it's all her".Back to the health thing for a few moments, it was during the work-up on the low iron and exhaustion issues, that I complained to the doc about
all over body pain. She did the tender spot check, I scored like 13 of 18 or something like that. I also had endodetrimosis (sp?) and hugh fibroid tumons on my uterus and surronding tissues, Surgery was scheduled. I personally believe all this stuff is connected in some way. Possibly the Thalamus not working properly. That would explain lots.I hope you get some answers soon, it's terrible hanging in limbo and not understanding what's causing the sympyoms.
