I'm starting lithium this evening, 300 mg BID (twice a day)
Everything I've read says to take it with food to avoid stomach upset. How much food is enough?
I rarely eat breakfast. In a month, I might eat breakfast 1 or 2 times.
The evening meal time varies depending upon my wife's work schedule. It can vary from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Sometimes my wife will eat a late lunch and won't want much of anything in the evening or will eat something later, say around 9:00 or even a bit later. In this situation I may not fix much for myself and may simply snack instead of eating a full meal.
How much food will mitigate stomach problems?
Would a sandwich be enough? How about a bowl of cereal with milk?
