Question about Lamictal

I just wanted to know if your taking Lamictal,what dosage did you start out on? And what dosage seemed to help you? I know everybody is different...I was prescribed this med almost 4 weeks ago and she started me out on 50mgs a day....I'm due to go back this friday to let her know how I've been feeling and she will probably change the dosage etc....I was just curious I guess my appt isn't coming soon enough...It seemed I was doing good for a couple of weeks but last week and this week I'm just down....And it seems like getting better is going to be a ways off....

I used to be on Lamictal in the past and my pdoc started me on 25mg and went up from there. The highest dosage that I was on was 300mg, but it wasn't enough so I ended up switching Rx. Hang in there and let us know how you are doing.

You might feel funky for a couple of days, but it'll go away. It always take a few days to adjust to a new med.

Thanks for asking! I've been feeling good the last 2 days, I think that I needed to give the increase in meds some time, I have been on the new dosages for a week now. Been looking for a job too, I need to get out there and create some sort of a life for myself because I cannot stay home anymore.
