I'm trying to quit smoking cigarettes, any suggestions?

Stop buying them, lol. No, I'm in the same boat. Welbutrin worked as long as I was on it. It makes your cigs taste like... well, @%#$. It also made me really crabby, which made me want a cig, and then the cigs didn't work which made me even crabbier. I'm not really being helpful, am I? I'm of the mind set that you have to decide to quit and then just do it. I'm just not there yet. I'm no quitter!

I quit cold turkey without much trouble at all, but you have to want to quit I tried the patch, the gum none of that worked, you have to decide your done no matter what, get past the first 10 days and your ok!

Well in the last two weeks I've gone two days with no cigs, and two more with only one before bed. I'm not there yet, but it's nice to know that I can go a day without one and not freak out!

I quit a few months ago. I'd tried SOO many times by cutting down slowly, that never worked. What finally worked for me was just stopping completely. The cravings were gone in a few weeks, whereas when I tried cutting down they just never went away. And...I drank A LOT of coffee :P It helped.

Allen Carr’s Easyway. I used the CD's, but there are several options. This 'tactic' has worked for several of my friends. No drugs, patches, etc. I'm not saying it is that easy, but I'm cigarette/nicotine free for almost a year now and don't ever feel like I'm going to go back to smoking. Give it a try....
