Lots of us are on lamictal. I have been on it one month and am up to 50mg, working up to 200. Life isn't perfect, in fact sometimes it seems worse because I am aware of what is happening and anxiety has been kicking my butt since being diagnosed bipolar.
All in all I am starting to feel like the lamictal is helping. I can actually calm myself down when I start to rage or get manic, I'm generally hypomanic all day with a few big up spikes and nasty down spikes, but the spikes are spreading farther apart. I've had about
three day or two long bouts of depression, but they were shorter, less severe, and less frequent than usual. This is a long term treatment plan, so I'm just hoping for more and more progress, but it is nice to think back on the last month and a bit and see a little progress.

It's been good for me! No med is perfect, but it has improved the quality of my life. I'm at 250mg. For me, it took a couple months for to really start feeling the results...it was a gradual lifting of 'the fog'.

I have been on lamictal for close to 2 years now. Ij would seem it helps keep my mood more steady. I syill get depressed buy not as deep of a depression. I have not been on any traditional anti-depressant for years.
