Hi All,

Just wanted to know if anyone suffers from an alter ego or an imaginary friend? When I am getting hypo manic I start to change into someone else!I will answer to my given name but feel that I am someone else. My t and pdr seem to think this is ok as long as I do not take it to far. I just discovered this pattern and thought it was just my imagination from child hood that transfered over to adult hood. But then I noticed that I get so hypomanic at the same time. Any advice? Any one have this happen?

You Rang?????? tongue tongue tongue tongue I don't get that way, but i definelty have more power, am more out going, more adventerous. You name it. It allows me to operate on all most no fear when it comes to life.

And i agree with your Pdoc and therast. If it isnt hurting you, than enjoy it and live with it. To many times people try for their idea of what normal is or at least what it should be. I honestly feel like "why be normal" when i can be a little crazy and fun. Hell whats the use of being crazy if you cant take it out for a spin once in a while. LOL LOL LOL

For a long time, I had an alter-ego that nearly took over, she was outgoing, strong, brave, fearless, and a risktaker, she was everything I'm not now and I miss her all the time. But things got so bad that I eventually realized that I was her, and not me anymore. It wasn;t too bad, but it was at the same time.

Now a days, I miss what she had to offer, but I;m scared to allow even a small bit of her back into my life, because of how out of control she got.

I'm glad you brought this up though, because its something thats been on my mind lately since I've been having so many good days, I wonder if it;'s me, or if it's her creeping back in just a little.

Thank You for your replies I am glad that I am not the only one. I also if "normal" people do this too?
