This morning, I walked my dog. It was blazingly hot, and when I got home, I lay down to take a nap. The next thing I knew, it was about
5 p.m.! I couldn't believe I'd slept that long!
I had a "date" with my estranged spouse (yep, it's pretty weird to be going out on platonic dates with the spouse you're separated from, but that's my life ;-) ) this evening to play Scrabble at a local coffee house; they have Scrabble night every Friday night, and we usually are there every Friday evening. I met him over there, and we had a good time, even though I lost. ;-(
Not only that: One of the really nice barristas at the coffee shop had offered to show me how to register for classes, once my "window" for course registration opens up. (She told me that she hadn't known how to register, but that someone taught her. She wants to pass this forward, and she hopes I'll teach someone how to register. It just blows me away that one gets absolutely no guidance from a university on how to register every semester, but evidently, that's the way things go.) So, we hooked up to the WiFi, and she showed me, step by step, how to go about this. What a tremendous help! Now I hope that I'll be able to help somebody else.
This is probably the best time I've had in the past while, and I felt SO grateful to actually ENJOY something that I wanted to tell you folks about it. How wonderful it's been to have even the tiniest break in the baaaaaaaaaaaad depression.
Thanks for being there.
