No one, i mean no one likes to hear that they are Bipolar. It just isnt a happy piece of news.
That said, it is also very freeing, since now you know what you are fighting, and knowing your enemy is half the battle.
It takes time to come to terms with this beastie, and some people never really accept it. Let me tell you, after two years fighting this, acceptance does lead to a large degree of peace. Knowing that it was my mind that was screwed up, that it could be helped with medication, proper living techniques, and therpay.
Two years is both a long and a short time. I am here to tell you that. But after two years i am both much happier, much wiser, and no longer suffer the wims of a mind out of control. I still have problems, but they are by comparsion, much smaller and way more managable then they were before.
It does gett better. WIth help, acceptance, and medication we dont need to live the out of control life style. We can have normal lives.
Hold on, it does get better.
