Changing Meds - More Depressed

For about 3 months now I was on Lexapro 20 mg but since 1 month ago I was getting extremely anxious and sleeping much worse. My doctor said that I was with mood fluctuations and I should stopped Lexapro and start a new treatment with Valproate and Zyprexa.

I am on my 4th week reducing Lexapro with 5 mg righ now. I am not so anxious but I start feeling depressed. Could this be due to reducing of Lexapro?

Sounds reasonable that reducing an anti-depressant you would start feeling the depression more. I hope the new meds work for you. I know the transition period is hard but hang in there. Do everything else you can to be healthy, it will only help.

thinking of you eleveno, keep up the distraction, keep busy, but don't exhaust yourself either. make sure you keep in very close contact with your dr at this time, even if they don't request it, tell them anyway. make sure you are confident about the med change too... you are an important person in this decision too. Hugs.
